Prices Rise 7.8 Percent, But Homes Are Selling Faster and Faster

I hope that your summer is off to a great start. The housing market is off to a really fast start this summer. Homes are selling virtually faster than they have in a decade! Prices are up, inventory continues to reach record lows, and demand is still very high, which helped shift the days on the market to just 46 days. What should you do if you’re in the market for a new home? It’s simple. Be ready! Get pre-approved, know what you want, and when it’s time to make an offer, avoid contingencies if possible. In fact, create an offer that includes concessions for the seller.
