Steps to Buying A Home – Step 4 – Offer and Negotiations

Steps to Buying A Home – Step 4 – Offer and Negotiations

This week we will be discussing one of the most important aspects of buying a home, the offer and negotiations. This is where having an experienced agent like myself is incredibly useful. When entering this stage of the home-buying process, you want someone who will be proactive and fight to get you the best deal. Especially in today’s market, as a buyer you want to set yourself apart and make the sellers remember you.

One thing that I encourage buyers to do when they fall in love with a home is to make a video to show the sellers that you are interested in the home. Before an offer is even made, I can get in touch with the selling agent, and let them know that you are interested. These little details help sellers make a connection to you, which can help distinguish your offer from others.

Using the tools and strategies in my Real Estate Toolbox, I will research the local market trends to we can determine a price that is fair for the seller and a good value for you. When contemplating our offer we will also consider important things like Earnest Money, any special needs and contingencies  and title. I will then prepare all the forms we will need to formally extend out offer and follow up once it has been submitted. If the seller counters our offer, I will prepare and follow up on any counter-proposals so we can reach a mutually beneficial contract to close.

As your local RE/MAX agent, you can count on me to help put together a great offer and make you stand out against the competition when buying your home. Let me help make your dream of buying a home a reality.
