Trust In The Lord With ALL Your Heart

“Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart” We were put on this earth to adventure. To take to the uncomfortable, far off places that we do not know, to engage with the strange and unknown and to grow from the journey and experience, and while this is fun and rewarding and can be met with joy, it is also a challenge. Thankfully at the end of every great journey is home. We come home from adventure to peace, quiet, and normalcy, and in our minds we think that the adventure is over, until we are reminded why we are here again.
“HE will make your paths straight” Two young missionaries came back from two years of adventure and work and excitement in India to the relative quiet of Colorado and while they knew no one when they came, they found good friends which turned into a community and jobs and a home. This is life outside of the grand adventure, this is normal, we all live it, we all expect it. But life is not satisfied, and we often find that we return from adventure, to adventure in new forms. The domestic adventure of having kids, of filling a home with life and family, while common it is at least as taxing as climbing Everest. The constructive adventures of fixing an old house or building up a community in need don’t diminish at home or abroad. The continuing adventure of pursuing your craft and dreams, of developing yourself, of discovering what’s new is the very act of life. We do not leave adventure at our doorstep, we find it anew and call it life, and let it do what adventure does. Adventure risks us, it grows us, it takes us to new places. Go now, without all the details known, but with the vision of what you want guiding you towards whatever comes next, that’s how adventuring works, never leave it behind. PROVERBS 3:5-6
