Homes for Sale in Westridge, Highlands Ranch, CO

Westridge, Highlands Ranch, CO
Welcome home to Westridge, a lovely community in Highlands Ranch! Highlands Ranch is a suburb located 12 miles south of Denver, meaning it’s close to just about everything that the Denver metro area has to offer. Highlands Ranch is divided into 5 major subdivisions: Northridge, Eastridge, Southridge, Westridge and Backcountry. Westridge lies to the South of County Line Road, west of Broadway and east of Santa Fe Drive. The zip codes in Westridge are 80129, which includes the subdivisions west of S Broadway, and 80126, which includes the subdivisions east of S Broadway.

What’s the neighborhood like?
Westridge began being developed in the late 1980’s and 1990’s. While some of the homes in the area are amongst the oldest in Highlands Ranch, Westridge is also home to Backcountry, one of the newest subdivisions developed in 2012. Lot sizes in this part of town vary, with some of the older homers having larger lots. What newer homes lack in lot space however, they make up for in access to amenities.

The Highlands Ranch Town Center is centrally located in Westridge, just off of Highlands Ranch Pkwy and Lucent Blvd. The Town Center provides ample shopping and dining experiences, and plenty of activities for all. A Super Target, Home Depot and numerous shops mean that nearly everything you may need is easily accessible, and nearby parks provide the opportunity to enjoy the great Colorado outdoors.

For those who commute to work or school, there is an RTD park and ride center near the Town Center. The Park and Ride provides bus service to the light rail station off of Santa Fe and Mineral, as well as bus service throughout Highlands Ranch to the light rail station in Lone Tree. There is also a bus that goes downtown via Broadway.

Another great amenity nearby is the Highlands Ranch branch of the Douglas County Library system. The library offers something for everyone with story times for various ages, a special kids area, book clubs, art lessons and more.

Nearly all subdivisions in this area are part of the Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) and all residents have access to 4 state-of-the-art recreation centers that offer work out facilities, indoor pools, basketball courts, running tracks and much more.

There is a wide range of home prices available in Westridge. Most of the homes in Eastridge are detached single family homes, but attached homes can also be found in the area. Currently, there are condos and townhomes available for between the mid $170,000s and low $500,000s. Detached single family homes can be found starting at the mid $200,000s up through to the multi-million dollar price range, so there is a little something for everyone here.

What Schools are in the area?
Highlands Ranch is located within the Douglas County School District, which has been ranked as one of the top ranked school districts in Colorado. There are 19 elementary schools, 4 middle schools and 5 high schools in the Highlands Ranch area.

The schools that lie within Westridge boundary lines feed into Thunder Ridge High School. Schools in the area include: Coyote Creek Elementary, Stone Mountain Elementary, El Dorado Elementary, Trailblazer Elementary, Plum Creek Academy, Saddle Ranch Elementary, Ben Franklin Academy, Ranch View Middle School and Thunder Ridge High School. There are also many preschools and daycares within the area which provide childcare for younger children.
